B. To monitor and track website navigation behavior (e.g., visited pages)

  • Retention: For these purposes, data is retained for no more than 14 months from collection.

Consequences of failure to provide data: You are not obliged to provide this data. If you deny consent, your navigation will not be tracked, but you can still access the site.

C. To monitor and track the behavior of those browsing the site to propose advertisements to you based on the interest you showed while browsing our site

  • What is the legal basis for processing the data – We process data for these purposes to execute the contract to which you are a party and to execute pre-contractual measures adopted at your request. In the event that the service (as in the case of the challenge) provides for the processing of data of minors, the processing is based on consent.
  • How long do we retain the data – For these purposes, we retain data for no more than 12 months from when we collected it.

What happens if you do not provide the data – You are not obliged to provide us with the data, but if you do not provide it, you will not be able to access materials that are not already public.

E. To send you our newsletter

Legal Basis: We process this data only if you have given your consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. We may send you the newsletter if you have subscribed to our service (e.g., via Substack).

Retention: We keep data until you revoke your consent to receive the newsletter, barring necessary technical times.

Consequences of failure to provide data: You are not obliged to provide this data. If you do not provide it, you will not be able to receive the newsletter.

F. For research purposes

  • What is the legal basis for processing the data – We process data for these purposes only if you have given us your consent. At any time, you have the right to revoke the consent you may have previously given us. We may send you the newsletter if you have subscribed or registered for one of our services. In this case, the legal basis is Article 130, paragraph 4 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 (“Privacy Code”) which governs the hypothesis of so-called soft spam. Also in this case, you can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
  • How long do we retain the data – For these purposes, we retain data until you revoke consent, barring necessary technical times.

What happens if you do not provide the data – We will not process your data.

Who can access the data 

In addition to us, other parties may access your data:

  • Shareholders, administrators, employees, and collaborators of the company;

  • Providers managing the hardware and software of our platform (including hosting providers);
  • Teachers/Instructors of educational materials.

If necessary, we will appoint these subjects as Data Processors. You can ask us for the updated list of Processors at any time. We may also disclose your data to public authorities upon their request.

Your Rights 

You have specific rights regarding our processing of your data:

  • Object to the processing of your data;
  • Access your data and receive a copy;
  • Verify the correctness of your data and request rectification or update;
  • Obtain the limitation of processing;
  • Obtain the cancellation or removal of your data (Right to be Forgotten);
  • Lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.

How to exercise your rights: Send a request to our contacts indicated at the beginning of this policy. We will respond as soon as possible, in any case within 30 days.

Data Processing Location and Transfer Abroad 

We process your data at our headquarters and in any other place where the parties involved in the processing are located. For further information, contact us. Your data may be transferred to a country other than the one where you are located: we will indicate if and when this happens regarding the various services we use. Personal data may be transferred both to countries located within the European Union and outside the European Union. Some services we use involve the transfer of your data to the United States. The transfer to certified providers in the US is based on the Data Privacy Framework (DPF), to which our providers (Google, Zoom, etc.) adhere.

YouTube Video Widget – YouTube is a video content visualization service managed by Google. We use this service with “Privacy-Enhanced Mode” enabled: YouTube does not install cookies to track viewing behavior unless the user plays the video.
